Very impressed.Black Bear Diner is an American (New) style diner located at 366 12th St, Ogden, Utah, 84404. It was wonderful, and we couldn’t have asked for a better meal or better service for a special occasion. Our food arrived quickly and cooked perfectly, with all the requested accoutrements, and Jacob was very attentive and spot on with the service! When he learned it was my birthday, he consoled me (the young man has a great sense of humor and reads his customers well!) by arranging a surprise ice cream sundae delivered to our table by the staff singing and clapping a cheery birthday daddy. They were delicious and cooked perfectly! The vegetables were not mushy or watery, but firm and cut just the right size. fresh vegetables, and salad which came with a yummy hot cornbread muffin! My spouse had the chicken pot pie with seasoned vegetables and added a salad with muffin as well. Our wonderful server, Jacob, helped answer our questions about various menu items and assisted in helping us make our selections based on our dietary needs. We came for my birthday at the last minute. The people at front of the restaurant here though were pleasant and a few were engaging. Looking at other reviews around different cities/ states some diners have very good reviews while others less the stellar. I went to a Black bear diner a year ago in Yreka California and the Huevos Rancheros was awesome. I do think more detail to what might be going on may help. I had been here before at dinner with mixed results and was hoping it was a anomaly. I had earlier asked for the breakfast option sadly the eggs came back runny and not the over medium I had asked ( I had to blot up the under cooked eggs with my microwaved blackberry bear claw so I did not waste them.īacon though was good, The claw was average, fruit cup was good. I asked reluctantly if I could get this reheated from cold, so it was taken back and was heated in the microwave along with the breakfast. This was not freshly made.Īs the menu states it makes everything fresh and it might take more time then usual to make it. Bear claw was made not the same day as it was cold and dipped in egg stored in the refrigerator. It came to me not the breakfast that I asked but just the bear claw. I ordered the Black bear breakfast that included sausage or bacon. This morning I went into the Black bear diner for coffee and breakfast.
